We enjoy a very active social life while supporting many charities (please see "Our Projects") .

Regular events include:
  • A breakfast meeting each Friday
  • A social evening on the last Friday of each month
  • Guess Who Is Coming To Dinner each quarter
  • An informal walking group on Saturday mornings
  • A sponsored golf tournament
  • A Christmas and/or Diwali and/or Chinese New Year function
  • An annual President's Change night
  • A start of year barbeque.
Other social events are frequent; in the recent past Club members have organized a Trivial Pursuits evening and a Dance Party to the best music in town.

North Harbour Rotary Club boasts a healthy membership of 50+ people but more members are always welcome ...

More Information

Recognition is given by Rotary to outstanding contributions from its members by award of Paul Harris Fellowships. The Club boasts a significant number of members who have earned this distinction. Some of our members have had distinguished public lives, for example our first president, Matu Rangiuia, who has been deeply involved in Maori affairs.

Lynne Symonds, the first official woman member of Rotary, was a founding member of the Club.

A look back over the Club's eventful first 20 years was given at the anniversary dinner by Ray Beatson. Here is his speech.
