Bulletin Board:

  • Thomas Kolle from AustriaThomas Kolle from Klagenfurt in Southern Austria, our inbound exchange students for 2010-11, has now arrived. Stephen Farrel is his counsellor and will take on most of the work involved in organising the exchange and ensuring that all is well with both host families and Thomas. Club members have shown great support with Owen's family being the first host. Many club members are contributing time looking after Thomas.   • The Club has met the minimum, 20% of membership, requirement of the Centurion Programme and consequently received $1500 from a Rotary related trust. We are still seeking Centurion volunteers - please see below for details.
  • Stephanie SpicerOur outgoing Rotary Foundation Scholar is Stephanie Spicer. She has been attending Oxford University for a 1 year MSc course in environmental studies, graduating in October. For latest email correspondence, please click here.
  • The Club has committed to supporting the building of water tanks and sanitation facilities at the Lulapea Community Centre in Vanuatu. The project will be undertaken in conjunction with Kumeu and Port Vila Rotary Clubs.
  • Christina CoulamChristina Coulam is the Club's candidate for outbound Youth Exchange, her preferred destination being Argentina.Christine is a Year 12 student at Carmel College, a class captain, and is an excellent swimmer, skier and dancer. Her family is currently busy fund raising for Christina's year overseas.


Regular Fund Raising Programmes

There is a drive internationally to support the new Centurion programme. Under this programme, members commit to an annual contribution to the charitable work of Rotary International - for New Zealand members a minimum of NZ$100pa.

Our Club president strongly supports the initiative and targets 80% of members joining. To download the application form, click on the icon.

The 2010 - 2011 Entertainment Book is available now from or by telephone 027 277 5288.

The price has been maintained at last year's levels, $65.00, and helps to raise valuable funds for the Club and the many Community causes we support. Tremendous value.
